Capacity, availability & waitlists
These settings decide who can register and when — so you don't oversell, and so latecomers are handled gracefully.
Capacity
Set a maximum number of participants for the event. Once it's reached, registration closes automatically. Individual priced options can also have their own capacity, so a single tier (say, VIP) can sell out while the rest stay open.
Sign-up deadline
Set a deadline and registration closes at that moment, even if you haven't filled up. You can also choose to lock price-affecting changes after the deadline, so totals stay stable once sign-ups close.
Availability
Between opening and closing, your event shows as open. When the deadline passes or capacity is hit, it shows as full or closed and new sign-ups are turned away — unless you run a waitlist.
Waitlists
Turn on the waitlist and people can still register interest after you're full. When a spot frees up, a waitlisted person is promoted and gets an exclusive window (a set number of hours) to pay and claim it before it passes to the next person. This keeps full events moving without double-booking a seat.
See Event settings reference for where these live, and Free & paid registration for per-option capacity.
