Key concepts & glossary

A quick reference for the words you'll see throughout FireVue Events. Most of them connect to a deeper guide if you want more.

The big picture

Organization — your workspace and home base. It holds your events, team, branding, and billing. You can belong to more than one. See Managing multiple events.

Event — a single occasion inside an organization, with its own registration form, pages, participants, and check-in. See Create your first event.

Plugins — the way to super charge your event! While every event has all the basic functionality it needs to get participants on board, you can extend your event with many plugins and choose exactly what you need. See Plugins Overview

People

Participant — someone who has signed up for your event by completing its registration form. See Managing your participant list.

Team member — someone you've invited to help run your organization or a specific event. See Inviting & managing your team.

Role — the level of access a team member has (for example viewer, editor, or admin). See Roles & permissions.

Building blocks

Registration form — the questions attendees answer when they sign up, built with the drag-and-drop Form Builder. See Form Builder overview.

Template — a ready-made starting point for your event and its page, so you don't begin from a blank screen.

Landing Page — a public web page for your event or organization, edited in the Web Builder. See Web Builder overview.

Layout — reusable structure (like a shared header and footer) applied across multiple pages. See Layouts.

Plugin — an optional add-on feature you can enable per event, such as seating or photo sharing. See Plugins overview.

On the day

Terminal — the browser-based check-in tool you use on event day. See Terminal & Kiosk overview.

Kiosk — the Terminal running in unattended, self-service mode for attendees. See Terminal & Kiosk overview.

Admin View – a real-time screen for your team, to see who just checked in at the self service kiosk. See The check-in view & live attendance

Everywhere else

Drive — file storage for your organization and events. See Drive.

AI assistant — the in-app helper that can read your setup, answer questions, and make changes for you. See Meet the assistant.

Plan — the subscription that determines your limits and which features are available. See Plans & what's included.
