Data processing & the DPA
When you collect personal data from attendees, it's important to know who's responsible for what.
Controller and processor
- You are the controller. The attendee data you collect is yours — you decide what to collect and why.
- FireVue is the processor. We store and process that data on your behalf, according to your instructions and our agreement.
The Data Processing Agreement
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) sets out these responsibilities in line with GDPR. You can read it any time:
Practical implications
- Only collect what you genuinely need on your registration form.
- Handle exports responsibly and delete data you no longer need. See Data export & deletion.
This page explains how FireVue is set up — it isn't legal advice. If you have specific compliance obligations, check with your own advisor.
