Duplicating events & plugins

Running the same event again, or building several similar events? Instead of rebuilding from scratch, copy what you already set up. There are three levels, from smallest to largest.

Everything you copy is your setup — settings, pages, forms, and the files they use. Participant data is never copied: sign-ups, their uploads, photo-pool photos and other things attendees added stay with the original event only.

Duplicate a plugin (within the same event)

On the Plugins page, open a plugin's ⋮ menu and choose Duplicate. Give the copy a nickname and confirm. You get a second, independent instance with the same settings — handy when you want two of the same plugin configured slightly differently.

Any files the plugin relies on are copied too (for example a Seating plan's large seat‑map files), so changing or deleting the original never affects the copy.

Copy a plugin to another event

Same ⋮ menu, choose Copy to event. Pick a target event in your organization and a nickname. The plugin — with its settings and files — is recreated on that event. Great for reusing a seating map or a configured form add‑on across events.

Duplicate a whole event

Open the event's Settings → Manage Event and choose Duplicate event. Enter a name and URL slug for the copy and confirm — you'll land on the new event when it's ready.

What comes across:

• Event settings — branding, languages, payment settings, capacity, emails.
• Landing pages — your whole web build, with images re‑linked to the new event's own copies.
• Signup form, Terminal (check‑in flow) and Calendars.
• Plugins — every installed plugin, with its settings and files.
• Drive assets used by the above — copied so the new event is fully self‑contained.

What does not come across:

• Participant sign‑ups and their uploaded files.
• Payment setup — the copy starts with its own clean Stripe connection so you connect (or reuse) payments deliberately. See Collecting payments with Stripe.

💡 Note: A duplicate is a normal new event — it counts toward your plan's event limit, and its files count toward storage. See Event settings and Plugins overview.
