Roles & permissions
Every team member has a role that decides what they can see and change. Roles keep things safe: give people exactly the access they need, no more.
The roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read-only. See the organization or event, but can't make changes. |
| Editor | Everything a viewer can, plus create and edit events, forms, pages, and plugins. |
| Admin | Everything an editor can, plus manage team members, organization settings, and billing. |
| Owner | Everything an admin can, plus delete the organization. The organization's creator is an owner. |
Organization roles vs. event roles
A role can apply at two levels:
- Organization role — access across the whole organization and all its events.
- Event role — access to one specific event only.
Someone can have both — for example, a viewer at the organization level but an editor on one event they're helping with. When that happens, the highest applicable role wins for that event.
Assigning roles
You set a role when you invite someone, and you can change it later. See Inviting & managing your team for organization-wide access, or Adding event team members to grant access to a single event.
